What can I expect during our first session?
The first session is really about connection. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brought you to therapy, and identifying what you’d like to work on. I’ll ask some questions about your background, health, and experiences—but there’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready. My goal is for you to feel safe, heard, and at ease.
What does therapy look like after the first session?
After our first session we'll start to settle into a rhythm that feels supportive and productive for you. Each session is your space to show up just as you are. Some weeks, we might talk through specific challenges you're facing—like navigating sleep deprivation, relationship stress, or emotional overwhelm. Other times, we may explore deeper patterns, process past experiences, or build coping strategies for anxiety or mood changes.
Together, we’ll set goals that feel meaningful to you, and I’ll check in regularly to make sure our work is aligned with your needs. Some clients find relief quickly and come for a short-term series of sessions, while others prefer longer-term support as they move through different seasons of motherhood and life.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach—this is a collaborative process, and we’ll go at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you. You can always expect compassion, non-judgment, and a space where your feelings are honored.
How long is each session?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. That gives us time to explore what’s going on in your world, check in on your progress, and work together toward your goals.
How often will I come to therapy?
Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency. Over time, we might adjust to bi-weekly or monthly check-ins based on your needs and progress. We’ll collaborate to find a rhythm that works best for you.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant online therapy for clients anywhere in Texas. Many of the clients I work with find virtual sessions especially helpful during pregnancy or postpartum when it's hard to leave the house.
Do you include partners or family members in therapy?
While I focus primarily on individual therapy for women, I understand how important relationships are during this season of life. If it’s helpful for your healing, I can include partners in a session or two to support communication or shared understanding.
Will my health insurance cover the cost of my session?
At this time, I am an out of network provider (OON) for all major insurances and I can provide you with a superbill to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. To see if you have OON coverage, call the number on the back of your insurance card. I’m also happy to walk you through how to check your insurance benefits.
What is a superbill, and how does it work?
A superbill is a special receipt I can provide you after each session. It includes all the information your insurance company needs to process an “out-of-network” claim—such as the date of service, type of service, my credentials, and the billing codes.
Here’s how it works:
You pay me directly at the time of each session.
I give you a superbill—usually monthly, or after each session if you prefer.
You submit the superbill to your insurance provider (many have a portal or app to make this easy).
Your insurance company processes the claim, and if you have out-of-network benefits, they may reimburse you directly for a portion of the session fee.
It’s a great option if you want to use your benefits. I’m happy to walk you through the process or help you understand your coverage—just let me know!
What are your fees?
My standard rate is $160 per 50-minute session. I understand therapy is an investment in yourself and your well-being, and I strive to make it accessible. I offer a reduced rate for individuals who may need this option—please don’t hesitate to ask.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit and debit cards, including HSA and FSA cards. Payment is collected securely at the time of your session.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes! I offer a no-cost, 15-minute phone or video consultation. It’s a chance for us to connect, talk briefly about what you're looking for, and see if we might be a good fit. Feel free to fill out our Contact Form or email directly to info@BloomWithinTC.com
What if I’ve never been to therapy before and I’m nervous?
That’s completely okay—and actually really common. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you're already going through a lot. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, and I’ll always check in to make sure you feel supported every step of the way.
